Playlist: Autumnal Vibes
Even when all of our leaves should not precisely brown, we have now, in actual fact, entered fall, with this previous Saturday marking the autumn equinox. In South Florida, with the record-setting summer time warmth bleeding into fall, we’re not precisely pulling out the rakes and attending pumpkin patches simply but; we’ll accept indulging within the occasional pumpkin beer and, maybe, some temper music to conjure this phantom season.
To that finish, I’ve trawled my voluminous music library for a number of favorites to set an autumnal vibe. A few of these choices are apparent: It doesn’t get extra literal than Yo La Tengo’s “Autumn Sweater” and the Kinks’ “Autumn Almanac.” Others evoke harvests in all of their bounty, and nonetheless others suggests a spirit of renewal and rejuvenation, which I consider autumn brings after the canine days of summer time.
